The Buyer Problem
Equipment surfaces accumulate weld spatter, construction dust, adhesive residue, preservation coatings, marking materials and general construction soiling during fabrication, shipping and installation. In regulated environments, this contamination must be addressed before the facility is commissioned.
Planned exterior cleaning with compatible methods protects equipment finishes, supports inspection, and avoids the risk of introducing contaminants into a classified or controlled environment from soiled equipment exteriors.

When It Is Required
Method and Chemistry Must Be Compatible With the Surface
Not every cleaning method is compatible with every equipment finish or adjacent material. Cleansol selects methods appropriate to the surface type, the contamination, and what is adjacent on the equipment. The scope is confirmed before mobilization.
Cleansol Scope of Work
The surface type, the contamination type and the adjacent materials are reviewed before method selection. Existing surface condition is documented.
Cleaning methods and any chemical agents are selected for compatibility with the surface finish and the surrounding equipment and finishes.
Adjacent equipment, instrumentation, insulation and finished surfaces are protected before cleaning begins. Containment for cleaning agents and rinse water is established where required.
Surfaces are cleaned using the approved method and any specified chemicals. Work proceeds systematically from higher-risk to lower-risk areas to prevent re-contamination.
Surfaces are inspected against the acceptance criteria in the project documents. Pre- and post-cleaning condition is documented where required by the project.
This Is Not Commodity Cleaning
Exterior cleaning of process equipment in regulated facilities is a different scope from general facility maintenance. The equipment, the environment and the project requirements demand a controlled approach. Cleansol treats it as a project scope with proper planning and documentation.
